Jennifer Lux

JENNIFER LUX began practicing yoga in 2003 as a way to bring balance and flexibility to her body while training for a marathon. She soon discovered that yoga brought the same gifts to her mind and heart—and over time, her yoga mat has become a place to reflect, to witness, to heal, to discover and to celebrate.

Jennifer’s greatest local influence is Scott Anderson’s Warrior Academy Yoga, and the idea that creating powerful bodies and open hearts on the mat will serve to improve the world around us. With this philosophy in mind, she is dedicated to bringing yoga to populations that don’t typically have exposure to the practice—including prisoners and teen mothers. “I believe that this ancient art should be available to everyone seeking a more meaningful life. I feel blessed to share this transformative gift with some of these forgotten communities.”

Also trained as a birth doula, Jennifer is certified to teach vinyasa, power, prenatal and kids’ yoga. Her physically challenging, always-inspiring classes draw on the wisdom of ordinary moments—the kindness of a stranger, her young daughter’s immense curiosity, the unconditional support of community—to bring deep empowerment to mind, body and spirit.
