I’m already really flexible. Why would I need yoga?
While it might seem strange, exceptionally flexible people can benefit from yoga just as much as their tight-limbed compatriots. Why? Yoga is about creating a strong, balanced body and finding healthy alignment in each posture. A person with a very flexible spine, for example, might struggle with overextension in a certain pose, just as a person with extremely tight hips might reach for greater openness. The practice of yoga will help both types of yogi as they explore the spaces in their bodies and strive toward the purest expression of each posture.
